Belgian topflight side KRC Genk has described Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu a legend of their club.
The club made the declaration after Onuachu won the Jupiler Pro League Professional Footballer of the Year award.
The former Midtjylland star also picked the Golden Shoe Award following a stellar campaign for Genk.
In the just concluded campaign, Onuachu scored 33 goals and provided five assists in 38 league appearances.
Also, he helped Genk win the Belgian Cup following a 2-1 win against Standard Liege where he provided the assist for his side’s second goal.
And reacting to Onuachu’s achievement, Genk wrote on Twitter: ”Congratulations Paul! AS a club, we are of course very proud of this election of Paul. He is already a legend of KRC Genk.”
Onuachu made the Super Eagles final 24-man squad unveiled on Monday for their international friendly against Cameroon on 4th of June in Austria.
