The Lagos State Government has berated the management of the Lagos State University, Ojo , over its failure to pay salary increment to its workers from the monthly subvention as well as the Internally Generated Revenue .
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education , Tokunbo Wahab , said this in a statement on Monday .
At LASU , the four unions , on Monday locked out their Vice – Chancellor of the institution, Prof . Olanrewaju Fagbohun , as well as students , who just resumed after the COVID – 19 lockdown .
By 7 am , members of the unions stood at the gate and prevented members of staff from gaining entry in to the institution.
They claimed that other Lagos State workers had received the increment , but all the tertiary institutions in the state had yet to be paid .
Fagbohun made an attempt to appeal to the union members , but they ignored him .
Similar protests took place in all the tertiary institutions in the state .
