Spanish club, Madrid CFF, have signed Nigeria midfielder Ogonna Chukwudi for the rest of the 2020/2021 campaign.
The Super Falcons star arrives as a free agent after spending one year with Russian side CSKA Moscow.
On joining CSKA from Djurgardens last term, she won a domestic title success with the Russian champions, despite sitting out the entire campaign due to an injury.
Having moved to Spain, she will be hoping to get her professional career back on track at Matapinoneras.
Chukwudi’s arrival will bolster the ranks of Oscar Fernandez’s team, as they seek to improve on their good start to the current campaign, with 25 points from 14 matches in seventh position.
She also becomes the second Nigerian to join Madrid this January, after Osinachi Ohale from AS Roma.
They join two of their compatriots Chidinma Okeke and Rita Chikwelu.
