Former Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri has pinpointed the strength of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Allegri was the manager who welcomed Ronaldo to Juventus in 2018 before resigning his position and cannot see reasons why anyone would want to criticise an all-time great who, according to him, is “programmed to win”.
Questions were raised recently after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner failed to help the Italian giants qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Ronaldo with his Juventus side crashed out of the competition to FC Porto.
Allegri pointed out that the 36-year-old remains “human” despite his most remarkable sporting abilities.
He told Sky Sport Italia, “Ronaldo is human too and can make mistakes, but there are few who can shake off a defender and run at the goal like him.
“Cristiano’s strength is that he has this mind that is programmed to win. He won five Ballon d’Or trophies, the Champions League, so many titles, yet he is there giving himself new motivation every single day.”
